Students enjoy a fun day at the beach

After a whole week of studying in an English only environment in the classroom, the children are continuing their studies while playing and having fun at the beach. And it was the perfect field trip as temperatures had shot up past 35 degrees. There was ample shade and shallow water for the children to truly enjoy themselves. "this is one way that we at I.S.L. fight the heat of summer". said Nick Christofalos (I.S.L. teacher) "It's air conditioned classroom to air conditioned bus, to beach and then back to air conditioned bus before the sun gets too strong".

The International School of Larissa Takes an active role in the Pinios River Festival

The International School of Larissa has just taken down it's kiosk at the Pinios river festival. The festival was to raise awareness and fight pollution and litter along river banks throughout Greece. This years festival was a great success and the International School of Larissa was very proud to have taken part in it. The festivities included wall climbing, rappelling across the river with ropes, first aid demonstrations, classic music concerts, rock concerts, comedy routines, horseback riding and of course lots of great food. Make sure you check out the festival next year and don't forget to stop off at the I.S.L. kiosk to say hello.
