Our goal in the Primary School is to help students become self-motivated, reflective and successful learners. We teach for understanding through an acceptance of the variety of learning styles, values and diverse cultures and beliefs that exist in our school community. We are implementing certain aspects of the IB Primary Years Program for students in the Early Years Program and the Intermediate Program. The language of instruction is English. The core subjects, Language, Mathematics, Science & Technology and Personal & Social Education, are taught by homeroom teachers. Students also have classes in Art, Music, Drama, Physical Education and Greek. Instruction is designed for understanding. Students acquire knowledge and skills through units of enquiry which help students relate their work in the classroom to the wider world outside school. |

Early Years Program The goal of the Early Years Program for students aged 4-7 is to help them make a successful transition from home to group experience through an active learning approach. We help students learn about themselves, other people and the world around them.
Intermediate Years Program The goal of our Intermediate Years Program for students aged 8-11 is to provide relevant, engaging and challenging learning experiences that allow students to reflect on important issues. The curriculum is driven by the following six concepts:
- Who we are - How we express ourselves - How the world works - Where we are in time and place - How we organize ourselves - How we share the planet |
